Day Three in Kyoto
We're here. We're finally, finally here. We were supposed to go to Japan last fall, but had to cancel. This trip has been two years in the making, although I've wanted to come here ever since I started tagging along on Japanese Club trips to Yaohan in high school. I still can't believe they let us miss a full day of school to eat sushi and buy Hello Kitty stationary. It was the biggest coup of my teenage years.

Choosing lunch from a ramen ticket vending machine. We're busy eating up a storm, touring temples, and blisterizing our feet, but more is coming.

Just the other day, I had an "authentic Japanese crepe" from this place in the I-D. While you're in Tokyo, would you mind keeping your eyes peeled for a Japanese crepe shop? I'm convinced there's no such thing! But I want to be proven wrong, obviously.
we JUST walked past a crepe place. i will post pictures for you and you can compare...the crepes looked frilly and fruity. is that what you had??
we had authentic japanese bagels this morning. ;)
I had a crepe with cornflakes in it. There were lots of crepes with fruit and custard, but I was most curious about the savory tuna salad, chili dog, potato salad, or pizza crepes... Not curious enough to have one, though. :)
