Sapori Trattoria

We ate here on Valentine's Day, and it was a Twilight Zone experience. We were seated in the middle of seven two-person tables in a row, and every single couple around us was our age and upwardly-mobile looking. Randy and I may appear to be somewhat upwardly mobile, but at present we definitely aren't.

The food was delish. We started with a cured filet mignon plate that featured airy whipped goat cheese spread, cheese toasts, truffles, arugula and shaved, melt-in-your-mouth slices of beef. I had chicken and caramelized fennel risotto, and Randy had spaghetti with meatballs. Dessert was chocolate-hazelnut panna cotta with raspberry sauce. All was divine, even if the entire restaurant was stuffed with people exactly like us, except successful (shudder).
