How can you argue with a place that plies you with a complimentary cream puff as soon as you sit down? I don’t even like cream puffs that much, but these are home-made by the owner’s wife and hey! They’re free! There might be nothing better than stuffing your face with fresh pastry and then snorking down a big bowl of cheap pho on a rainy Seattle evening. The waiters here are bored at best and surly at worst, but I will forgive them again and again. And don’t even try to kid yourself that you’ll save that cream puff for dessert.
