House of Flavors (MI)

This is as good as its going to get in Ludington. Classic family place filled with screeching children knocking their drinks over, etc. BLT, hamburger, and grilled cheese are all fine. The ice cream is the reason to endure the wait and the din. My grandma adores the chocolate malt. You get a reward for finishing the Pig Dinner (??), which is served in a trough. My family has been coming here every summer for decades, which explains both why the walls of our cottage are pricked throughout with pins proclaiming I was a pig at House of Flavors! and why all my relatives over age 40 are now on Lipitor.
